Finally it's over…after months of novenas and preparations, the Dipolog City fiesta celebration of the Most Holy Rosary in Illinois ended with lavished color and camaraderie.  Zanorteans, mostly dipolognons and dapitanons flocked to the White Eagle Banquets Hall to attend the most celebrated affair of devotees from the province of Zamboanga del Norte. 500 tickets were printed and were all sold out.

 The Zanorteans of Illinos celebrated the 4th Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, on October 5, 2007 at White Eagle Banquets Hall, in Niles Illinois. The Diocese of Dipolog Parishioners of Illinois sponsored the affair, spearheaded by Rev. Father Manny Duterte and Mrs. Cita Orbecido Bajamunde.

The fiesta celebration was preceded by a nine-weekly novena which were hosted by a different families of Zanorteans in the Chicago area. The following Zanorteans who prayer hosted the novena mass were:

         The first celebration of the Fiesta  of the Most Holy Rosary in Chicagoland was held in October 5, 2003. Since then it was customary that each weekly novena-mass be hosted by different Zanortean in Illinois.

          The fiesta celebration is also a fund raiser in which the Diocese of Dipolog has a project in mind. One of them is the Diocesan Retreat House in Avenda Height, Municipality of Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte. Since its inception the fiesta celebration together with the twin fiesta celebration of Saint Vincent Ferrer in May have collected a total of almost $40,000 towards the construction of the retreat center.

The mass was concelebrated by the Rev. Fathers Manny Recera, Manny Duterte, and Tony Pizzaro.  Fr. Manny Recera delivered the homily where he talked about the power of praying the rosary and the unity of the family.
