Dipolog City Mayor Roberto Y. Uy popularly known as Berto is the son
of businessman Isaias Uy and Francisca Yu. At young age he was
trained to be business minded, as his family owned a chain of
businesses.
Berto was born on December 28, 1952 in
Mapang, Rizal Zamboanga del Norte. During his childhood days, Berto
went to school in Dipolog Community School were he took up his
elementary education. He then went to Chiang Kai Shek College
Manila for his secondary education where he successfully graduated.
During his college days in Adamson University, he took up Bachelor
of Science in Mechanical Engineering. On his 3rd year in
college he met his wife Evelyn Tang and falls head over heels in
love with each other. They married and blessed with six healthy and
wonderful children. Roberto, Jr. finishes his 2nd year
college education and was happily married. Both Darrel Dexter and
Charles Conrad are cramming in their 3rd year of college
life, while Ritch Reinald and Reinalyn is now in 3rd year
high school and last but not the least, France Isa is getting better
as a grade four student.
Mayor Roberto Y. Uy and family are
presently residing in General Luna streets, Dipolog City. In
