Residents of Barangay Santa Filomena had a week-long
celebration this coming February 20 to the 26th as
it celebrated it’s The DAY from its recognition as a barangay
42 years ago.
Barangay Captain Nelson S. Saldon
led officials and its constituents in the discussion for its
forthcoming celebration.

Based on the minutes of the
meeting among the local officials some of the agreed splash
programs are the holding of barangay-wide parade of the
officials and residents; the inauguration of the a
newly-opened roads at the Ramos Village and other activities
which aim to promote goodwill and a sense of community among
the residents thus, create a fiesta-like atmosphere. The
Barangay Officials also organized a modeling-like show to
feature some of their good looking male youngsters who all
aspire to become models someday.

The 40-meter concreted road will
pave way to easy and comfortable transportation all the way to
the Municipality of Sindangan.
The residents of the said barangay
are witnesses of various infrastructure developments
implemented during the administration of Mayor Roberto Uy such
as the concreting of the roads as well as the instillation of
electricity and water facilities for the barangay.
