Christmas in the Philippines
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Philippines is known as the “Land of
Fiestas.” You know it, and considers Christmas celebrated
the longest and merriest in the world. Formally, Christmas
begins the 16th of December with attendees at the first
of nine pre-dawn masses until the first Sunday
of January, Feast of the Three Kings, the official
end of the season.
The Philippines is the only Asian country
where Christians predominate, as such,
Christmas is an extremely important day for most Filipinos.
It’s a time for family, for sharing and giving of
food, fun and friendship. |

Bearing the Heavenly Image |
|
 |
|
The
Bible declares that these bodies are to be changed, not other
bodies made or developed. These vile bodies the earthly bodies
that belonged to us. The bodies of humiliation, shame and
weakness, are to be changed and fashioned into the form of
Christ’s glorious body. It was Christ’s same body, the body
pierced and dead on the cross, the body that slept in Joseph’s
tomb that was made glorious. So it is to be our same body, the
body that had suffered the humiliation that is to share the
glory. It is to be accomplished by His divine power and at His
second coming. |
